Verses for the Barefooted
and the Fourfooted

Barefoot in Spring

The moist mud squishes between your toes
As you walk barefoot along a watery creek.
The birds' chirping
Is music to your ears
As you meet nature
With your feet.
You walk, sing , and run
But to nowhere
In the woods
With the trees and animals
You are free

Old House

Rickety, rock
The house on the hill
The old wind blows
The house falls down
A bulldozer comes
And roles it down
Poor house on the ground

Nature Song

The bees hum
The owls hoot
The robins twirp to the bluejays
The sparrows sing their pretty song
As the day goes on and on

Swinging

I sit on a swing
You push me high
So high I seem to fly
But what if I were to fall
Onto that wall
Ahh
Put me down
I miss the ground
And I certainly hate that wall
